Diary of an Edinburgher

Pip makes himself at home…

Pip is used to being taken out pretty early in the mornings… not so today and he was a bit puzzled. Mind you, 7.30am IS still pretty early!

I took them both out mid-morning, though only up the road and back- until they obliged and did their business.

JR, after the gym, went off to meet a couple of ex-colleagues in Leith - a bus and a tram trip. She had a good catch up, AND an excellent brunch.

Then the man came for a boiler service. Abi had said that she hoped Pip didn’t bite him, and I wasn’t sure if she was joking or not - he does have a bit of a reputation. And Archie barks like crazy - so I shoved them both out in the back garden for the duration of the visit. But Archie could SEE the strange man in HIS house (the boiler is right by the back door) and so he barked like crazy.

After that, the rain set in, and so the dogs and I settled down - no hope (and no intention) of going out again - me to watch the tennis, and them just to snooze. Though Archie did have a bit of a play with Pip’s squeaky squirrel.

When JR returned she took the boys out in the rain. Actually, no. Pip refused to go. Perhaps he wanted to catch the end of the tennis. There were two excellent matches on - I kept having to switch over.

This is Pip’s favourite perch.
