A Meandering Life...

By Skeena

Fellow Shedder

For the past couple of sessions at the Men's Shed I have been showing Roy how to make a Tiffany style light catcher.

He developed the design, learnt how to cut the glass to fit like a jigsaw puzzle and this morning he applied the copper foil needed for the final stage of soldering. We run out of time to do this but he will on Thursday.

The shed caters for different needs. Up to know I have only seen Roy as someone who comes along to chat with other like minded folk. It has been nice to see him be creative although chat is still very much part of the process.

It's not because he isn't creative, far from it. He was a professional potter producing very large pots and urns in his workshop but it's just that type of intense labour is now in the past.

All I need to do now is see if we can get his huge kiln into the Shed... ;o)
