Funnimoney?

      When Alice and I were in Turkey many years ago they had just clipped a handful or so of the 0s from their currency - SO - we could see the same item in two shops, priced at  e.g 56 Lira and 56,000,000 next door. 
       Being a bit of a frustrated  linguist with zero second language; I had to do a translate "Turkiye cumhuriyeti - yeni  kurus". It became "Republic of Turkey - new kurus"  with attendant oddity  - thus:-
Yeni Kurus - New Kurus - BUT - remove the "Yeni" and Kurus translates as "Penny" - SO - The thing resembling a "C" wasn't for "Cent" it was the crescent of Islam with the * much less evident.  
      NOW you know it's there - can you see it?
What's it doing here?  Well I saw it on the carpet masquerading as a Quid, so without checking I pocketed it.  Always useful if I haven't a Trolley token.  
       T B H I'd looked at it so little that I offered A. N. Other it for her Trolley & she said "That's not a £1, it's a Euro." WRONG Mrs., but at least you noticed; more than I did.
