Happiness....

We did our walk, though I hadn't brought quite the right shoes away with me! At times today, we really have questioned that we are still in England. The scenery has been just amazing, the skies a brilliant blue and the sun truly HOT! So much to see and history to read and best of all, time has been totally immaterial.

This wooden sculpture was at the beginning of our walk and we made our acquaintance with him. He actually reminded me so much of our dear dad. Not so much in appearance, but just by sitting on his lap and looking into his eyes. He was very quiet, as was Dad...so today I have indulged myself with this picture and many happy memories.

After our walk we returned to our accommodation and set up two loungers in the beautiful gardens and lost ourselves in our books. Bliss!

Last whole day tomorrow, sadly...
