Evening cloud

It was a rainy day in the north when we drove down to Inverness first thing, for me to get the LNER train to Edinburgh. I had treated myself to a first class ticket and it was very comfortable. I think the train was fairly busy so it was definitely a worthwhile investment (and not very expensive with the senior railcard). I enjoyed a second breakfast on the train, after my first breakfast of cereal, which featured (small numbers of) home grown strawberries (see first extra).

Back home, after the usual train => tram at Haymarket and a trip to the small supermarket in the Red Sandstone, I logged on to the online meeting which I'm supposed to be in for the next three days (although in practice I can only make two afternoons). It was a bit difficult to pick up the rhythm, but I managed it eventually.

My next port of call was Cramond, to have supper with HK. It was warm when I cycled out there (although the sun on the cycle paths was intermittently difficult), and we sat out in the garden to eat, although it got a bit chilly after a while. I dropped down to the Cramond Prom via School brae and the river (see first extra) and cycled back that way, enjoying the superb light, stopping between Granton and Newhaven to take what became my blip. A lovely evening for a cycle and such a blessing to have the electric bike.
