En blanc et noir

Summer events are coming up to speed now. The piano festival in Lagrasse always starts the same weekend as L'Art Caché. I didn't go over the weekend, but today there was an early evening jazz concert by Catalan pianist Xavi Torres, and S and Ingrid joined me. He is doing a project of adapting Beethoven pieces to improvisational jazz; the pieces in the first half were rather long and spiky, apart from the Catalan folk song he finished with. The second half was much more chilled, ending with a very enjoyable rolling blues -- not often you hear that played on a grand piano. In the interval we grabbed a glass of rosé and caught up (again) with S and T, who'd just picked up T's friend E from the airport and stopped off to listen for a short while.

I took a few snaps, just to make sure I had a blip in the bag! I went with a wider angle than I usually do at this event, to show the context.
