We had a last walk on our nearby beach. Going to miss the morning beach walks for sure.

Got all packed up, tidied up the place (emptied bins, stripped beds , cleaned fridge and cooker ) as requested by the owner. Wouldn’t leave it a mess anyway.

Left the house at 10:30, Glenfinnan was MOBBED, big new car park full with bollards and attendants over the entrance , cars everywhere all waiting on the Jacobite. It’s still so popular . We didn’t go this time as we had the perfect view and photo three years ago.

We had a heart stopping incident was a motor cyclist with a death wish on the road between Glenfinnan and Dalwhinnie. We were going along at 60, car behind us and car and caravan in front. All of a sudden there was the roar of a motorbike tearing past us at 90 for sure, almost touching us due to another car alongside us going the opposite direction . There was a millimetre between us and him. Not content with that near miss he the. Proceeded to overtake the car and caravan and yes, another car coming opposite direction flashing his lights at him, the caravan almost in the ditch trying to avoid and accident, and again he was squeezed between the car and caravan and the car going north. No wonder there are umpteen deaths with motorcyclists. It was shocking how close it was.

We stopped in the nicest little Cafe just before Dalwhinnie called Falling Down a Mountain! Quite new, bright, welcoming and very good home baking and snacks . And dog friendly.

The journey down the A9 was uneventful. Plenty heavy rain showers and then sun.

Dropped the boys off and had a chat to their mum.

The garden has sprouted again. Lots to do next week.

Unpacked and had a tea from the freezer.

Missing Star na Mara. Def want a return to Skye soon.
