Nature Diary.. Beside the sea

A beautiful day on the south coast.
   The Seagull in the photos has been a peaceful visitor for at least 5 years and seems to treat our balcony as a home from home. 
  Today he was here for about  6 hours, standing or resting in the same place, with an occasional drink from the water bowl. 
   We don't offer food as previous experience has proved that to be something they tend to rely on from us so we don't do that any more.
   So today for us humans it was watching Wimbledon all day, and for the beautiful Herring Gull it was laying on our balcony in the warm summer sunshine.
