Day at a Time

Old Kilmadock Cemetery

Met some friends this afternoon for a walk to the ancient graveyard at Old Kilmadock. It dates back to the 6th century CE. Evidence of Pictish culture has been found here. The symbols on the gravestones are fascinating. A group of hard working volunteers keeps the area in good condition.

It was lovely to spend a couple of hours walking and chatting. Our friends had brought flapjacks which was thoughtful. As we were taking our leave of them I was bitten by a cleg (horsefly). Clegs are beastly, horrible creatures. I react to their bites so I've slathered on some antihistamine cream and I hope that does the trick.
