Day at a Time

Our friends left after breakfast to slowly wend their way to St Fillans, St Andrews and Edinburgh before going home to Cornwall at the end of next week. It's been so lovely to have them here. I wouldn't have forgotten the 2024 election in any case but having them here and sharing their ebullient delight in the results from Cornwall was extra special. We will try to get down to Devon and Cornwall before too long to see both our April and July '24 visitors.

I don't know about anyone else but both Cameraman and I feel completely wiped out after Thursday. It's like that feeling when you narrowly avoid an accident. I know there's masses of strife to come (here and abroad) but for now I'm relieved to have some straightforwardness at the helm.

I'm going to potter in the garden, read and watch the tennis today. The washing is on the line, the sun is shining and the wildflowers are abundant. Thank you Miranda as always.
