I spent a while at the allotment today, watering, hoeing and doing a bit more digging of the undug bed, it's nearly finished now. There were loads of mangetout peas so I gave some away, there's only so many that I can eat. The runner beans are almost to the top of the canes and have the first flowers at the bottom.

Specsavers phoned to confirm my health check appointment for tomorrow. I'd noticed that I have a new floater in my eye, and when I checked with the surgery they told me to see an optician in the first instance. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about.
