Clouds and trees

Woke late (5.56am!), then finished packing Dad’s case ready for when N arrived to help take us to the respite care home. So grateful for her help as it was impossible for me to carry any of the bags (think I may have a trapped nerve in my shoulder rather than muscle spasm). Was hoping to be home by 1pm so I could start getting myself ready for the off but there were so many important things not in place that I was not going to leave until I was happy that Dad had everything he needed. In the end I went and complained to the manager and then everything missing magically appeared! Before leaving, I took Dad to a singalong session which he really enjoyed, though sadly I know he won’t remember the fact. 

What with all the delay, and missing my bus, I didn’t get home until 5pm, and haven’t left the settee ever since. I should start on my packing but I think I shall just rest, and have an early night. Hoping my shoulder will feel bit better tomorrow so that I can then crack on with my jobs list. Thankfully I have a left arm to lift my wine glass!

Heavy rain overnight, and showers on and off all day, clearing to a blue sky and puffy clouds (seen from Dad’s room), but very windy and still on the cool side.
