Life is a Challenge!

FLOWER FRIDAY & THINKING OF FRIENDS & THEIR FAMILY

It was a mucky morning with drizzly rain and quite cold, so when Mr. HCB suggested that as he couldn’t do much in the garden, I might like to go out for a coffee, once again, that was an offer I couldn’t refuse.  I even wore my winter anorak in July - come on, where is summer?

As we got out of the car, and of course, we decided to go to Jack’s, the rain was quite heavy so seeing the shot that is on the right of my collage today was quite cheery in a dismal and dull world.

Added to that, we have Jamaican Friends, who have relatives who still live there and with whom they have had no contact since Storm Beryl hit the island.  So this is for our friends and their family to say we are thinking of you all and will remember you in our prayers.

We enjoyed our coffee break at Jack’s, where we had a job to find a seat because it was so busy, but we had a good chat together before wandering around Old Town, because the rain had stopped by then.  We popped into our favourite Charity Shop, DEBRA, which is looking very smart after a makeover - see extra - where Mr. HCB bought several books and I found a lovely poetry book entitled "The Nation's Favourite Poems".

Once home it was lunchtime, so before it started raining again, I went out into the garden and took a few shots of our beautiful Hollyhocks.  Mr.  HCB is very proud of these as he grew all of them from seed he had harvested in previous years and the Buddleias are all from cuttings he took, but he can’t remember where the original plants were - so this is my contribution for Flower Friday.

It has rained again quite heavily, so this will be “clearing away the clutter” afternoon, so dare not open my book until I have completed that task, otherwise I know what will happen! ;-)

Hope you all have a great weekend whatever you are planning to do.  M xx
