Mormo Maura

We had a nice little visitor today, a moth of the noctuidae.
Perhaps better known in English as old lady or black underwing, in German as Schwarze Ordensband and in Dutch as zwart weeskind. Old lady and orphan for the same animal, interesting.
Usually I would have taken a picture from the back, but since we held it captured (till its release) in a class my best picture was the underwing.
Especially the mouth part was new to me.
