Green Darner

Anax junius aka the Green Darner dragonfly is one of the most common and abundant species of dragonfly in North America. It ranges south to Panama and is found in the Caribbean, Tahiti and Asia from Japan to mainland China. This beauty also holds the distinction of being the State Insect for Washington State! The Green Darner symbolizes growth, renewal and harmony. This one was hunting for insects over our pond.  m
