Emerging

I think this emerging bud is my eryngium - planted last year and flowering now for the first time. I love its current softness and dark-hearted mystery, and look forward to seeing just how it changes over the next weeks. It may well feature here again! 

Not surprisingly, I’m feeling very tired at the moment. I’m not even particularly interested in the prospect of going out with my camera which is most unusual, so it’s garden blips for now. I think it’s partly that I’m really trying to focus on sorting out my photos properly, but also the feeling of being in a medical limbo as I wait for a surgery date after which I can move on to a new treatment regime. I’m just so fed up with the whole thing. Moan over - hopefully tomorrow I’ll feel more positive!
