Water of Leith

A substantial ash tree recently fallen into the river from the Warriston cemetery.

Walked by Pilrig, Bonnyhaugh Lane and Bleachfield to St Marks park. The tunnel from the low Water of Leith path near the lower weir is flooded and a foot deep in mud, requiring a steep detour. Saw lots of swallows catching flies above the river, and a heron further upstream. Cool West wind, overcast.
