While I was walking on Calton Hill before an eye appointment, there was a 21 Gun salute from Edinburgh Castle.  There was also a sound of a band which I guess was connected with the King taking part in the Ceremony of the Keys at Holyrood Palace this morning, before carrying out an investiture and hosting a Garden Party in the afternoon.
The photo of the castle with puffs of smoke were very disappointing so instead this is one of some of the flowers beside a path on the hill.
