Farewell

We packed up, put the bins out and walked into the village to take a look at the weekly market (not very exciting!), then set off home. We stopped as we passed Poldhu beach and couldn’t resist a final wander and look at the surfer and lifeguard, soaking up the last of the sea air and bright glimpses of blue sky.
We stopped in Truro as we felt we should have had a final pasty before leaving Cornwall, and parked next to an enormous fabric warehouse so K had a mooch around, coveting all the lovely linens. We walked further into the town and ended up sharing a salad platter on a little cafe called Sabzi which was delicious-very Ottolenghi style. We had a wander around the town, bought pasties for later and then hit the road again. We drove to Coombeshead Farm near Launceston to see if we could get some sourdough bread but they were sold out. Lovely place though…one day would be nice to eat there.
From then on we just ploughed on…through a fair bit of Glastonbury traffic…and got to MK about 8pm. Very tired! Watched some more football (boring again) and chatted with AL about the garden and grandkids.
