A Wildflower Meadow....
No - not this shot ..... this is the inside of the car-park at the Western General Hospital at 9am this morning.
I can't say that I was too pleased with the closed road near the entrance to the hospital - even less so with the fact that there were no diversion signs.
Why can they not even make an attempt at giving people a clue? (especially people who don't know the area ....at least I had that advantage).
The wildflower meadow is actually plantings in the hospital grounds (there are 7 pictures).
After drinking what seemed like gallons of water, peeing in a bucket and having a scan done it was time for home.
When I was working at the lathe in the afternoon, I was interrupted twice.
Once by next door to give me a bottle of wine for cutting her bit of dado rail. She refused to allow me to decline it despite the job I did was virtually nil. Thank You Liz!
The other interruption was the couple at the end of the road who moved in just before us. They were out for a walk and just stopped for a chat.
He has had a bone graft done on an index finger (due to the bone disintegrating). It also turned out that they were at the Western this morning as well......and were having breakfast in the canteen while SWMBO was there waiting for me but never saw each other. Unfortunately he has been diagnosed with prostrate cancer. It has been caught early and he will son be glowing in the dark when he starts the treatment with radioactive stuff......although the Consultant gave him the option to wait until it is much more advanced. WTF????? He needs his licence to practice removed.
