jeni and the beans

New Tees!

A happy little unexpected parcel arrived for the boys today with lovely bright new teeshirts in for them! Of course they both wanted their new tees on immediately and Bear tried really hard to get his old tee off, and don't they look fab?! Very appropriate tees too, Bean still loves his dinosaurs and Bear ha learned to say "bee" for bees, instead of "beebee" which is milk. On the subject of language, we even had an approxation of "Charley" today too! And he's finally got the whole nodding=yes thing too, with funny over-the-top nodding just like we've been doing to teach him :-) Bright little bear.

At breakfast Bean wanted to know what we were doing today. Steve told him what day it was, and to have a think. And he remembered we did Little Fishes and our Wednesday group :) And said, "I hope Rosie is there this morning..."

So Little Fishes this morning, barely saw Bean for dust except when it was craft time and Rosie wanted to do some colouring but Bean didn't, and Bear mostly did his own thing too.

Lunch in the garden, and then Bear brought thr Ellaroo to me for wrapping up for our walk to our Wednesday group. A rather fabulous big smiley African lady came bounding up to us, beaming as she said how brilliant it was to see my baby up on my back in a wrap, and she even (when asked) gave me some tips on carrying using a bathtowel! Made me smile lots, such positivity :) We made bottletop pendants at our Wednesday group. Well, I did. Bean played with lego with Evie and then went and played outside, and Bear (who had not fallen asleep) pestered me while I tried to draw and paint and create until it was time to go home. He was only too happy to go up in the wrap again and finally fell asleep as we neared our house.

No money today. It's actually really really hard work, living by faith, having to trust God every day and month for the finances needed to pay the bills. It's exhausting, mentally. I just want to lie down and rest, and not worry about where the money for tomorrow's milk or butter is coming from. It's particularly stressful this time of month, the leadup to when payday used to be and so therefore when all the bills are due, because it's the time my body's decided would be a good timd to have my period so I have grouchy grumpy PMT on top of all that!

Thankfully an evening with my Christian sisters was a perfect antidote to today, dven if the day didn't let up when Steve unexpectedly picked me up afterwards with two very awake and singing children in the car. Apparently Bear can almost say "halleluja" now too.
