The second mouse gets the cheese….

Earlier Chris popped down from Haddingtonshire for a pootle about Roxburghshire on our bikes and then we strolled through the village to the pub for Sunday lunch. The food was quite passable although the handpump ale was on the turn. One to watch in future. A visit to the cricket club was thwarted when, despite the welcome billboard being on display, the lights were off and chairs on tables. Shame.

Chris headed for home and Nancy and I popped into the Deli Bookshop for cheese and books. I’m keen to get my teeth into the new Rory Stewart offering and that particularly fine Duckett’s Aged Caerphilly.
