ANOTHER DAY.

It’s a long chapter, lots of progress …..The hospital’s chief executive MK came to visit me yesterday. It’s who you know :)))). His presence made a few staff stand more upright:)))
I was moved from Resus department to Acute Medical Unit (AMU) yesterday evening.
J came at 5 and stayed until 6:30. It was nice to sit and chat.

It’s very noisy here!!! Some very poorly patients. (Then the realisation dawns…)
So so grateful to see another day. Even if it was a very early start!! :))
Quite a restless night really.
Stats taken every 2 hours, heart rate, temperature and blood pressure. Large facial oxygen mask on. Now on 3L of oxygen.
(Came in on 7L…reduced to 5L yesterday). Eventually hardly woke as blood pressure was taken !!! Just so exhausted.
One woman has an oxygen masks that farts as she breathes in and she swears as she breathes out.
After an hour of…FART…F Off…FART…I’ll kill you…FART…leave me alone…REPEAT. It stopped being funny!
Had an xray and a leg scan where they have found another blood clot lurking!!!! The Rev packed my bag…no shampoo or shower gel!!! But fleecy Christmas PJs (in this heat) and colouring book and glittery pens!!! I really do love him!
#On the move…I was glad to be moved to another ward at 1pm.
Then visitors…..
In hindsight I should’ve postponed more than the 2 I did, but I wanted to see the 4 I’d planned but others just came and that was nice to!!!
D & Sister S came from the chaplaincy team.
#Andy collected me and took me for fish and chip lunch in the staff canteen (oh he knows how to treat a lady!!)
Then to Costa to meet Mum. I also conned him into buying me a new cardigan!! I felt quite good and it was lovely to see Mum (what role reversal) I really appreciated the effort it was for her. I was ready to go back after an hour.
#lots more of this!!!
My nurse friend H visited with magazines, cherries, nectarines and fresh up wipes.
The Chief nurse and The Revs line manager came. The poor nurses felt they were watched! We had such a giggle. My walking buddy T and our vicar visited. Told them about Andy’s bag packing….ooops…#they had brought me more c/books and pens!!
After dinner J & E (my Ladies Wot Lunch friends) came with posh shampoo and S/gel. Hooray.
Aching now; probably from laughing but ready to sleep
