Ringlet

This is probably a newly hatched Ringlet. They were almost Tolkein like in their blackness when fluttering about. There were about 5 of them. Of course there was a lot of chasing about in hot weather to get close to a still one. I never really know what the pics are like til I see them on the computer so I terrorised a poor shield bug in the dark tonight and lit him uo with a kindle light. He was nice but not as in focus as the butterfly so here it is. Hoping to set up a moth trap some time this week just to see what is out there. Hope the mozzies don't attack too.
