Middle of the road

The track down to the beach is full of wild flowers, along the verges as well as down the centre.  Just beautiful. I'm going back with a notebook and pen to make a note of them all.   
There is a roll of rubbish bags and a box of gloves at the top of the beach, so that you can pick up as much plastic etc as you can manage on your walk. The bags are collected regularly as part of an ongoing 'Bag the Bruck' campaign around the Orkney beaches. I got a good good bagful and it was very rewarding to have a purposeful walk! 
Lottie had a great time snuffling about in the strand line for dead things to eat or roll on!  Luckily, nothing too smelly!
