The Endurance of Trees

Today started with removing a tick from my abdomen! Things got better after that with a visit to the gardens at Saltram House. The old chapel in the gardens  is now used for tea rooms. Towering over it is this magnificent Cedar tree. I have seen it described as both a Blue Atlas Cedar and a Cedar of Lebanon. Whatever its origins it seems to have thrived here and has a remarkable enduring appeal.
