Learning to Fly...

This little tufty headed guy was taking a flying lesson early this morning when I came out to sit on the patio. He took off from the tree across the garden, made a terrible landing in the bush beside the patio, almost falling off the branch when he landed :0) and then spotted me sitting about 3 feet away. We sat staring at each other for a while, he doing is best to look like a statue in the hopes that I wouldn't eat him...meanwhile, an adult Robin was wandering about in the grass on his flight path calling on and off.
I took his pic and then decided to go inside so he could stop his statue impersonation and find a way back to Mum.

Another hot day, 102/39 right now - too hot to go outside so we're hiding indoors again. The electricity went out for over an hour this morning and we were starting to get a bit warm but thankfully, whatever it was, they fixed it and the air came back on.
