St. Joseph’s Church
Beautiful weather today, lovely breeze. I slept in, had breakfast and cleaned the kitchen. Hubby and I decided to check out the nearby PA state park. It had a swimming pool, picnic areas, hiking and biking trails, a beautiful lake with boat launches on both sides and many types of boats and paddle boards available for rent. Folks were certainly enjoying themselves. We may go back tomorrow if no other blip opportunity presents itself. We settled for a small butter pecan ice cream at the snack bar. The rest of the day was spent reclining and reading. Mass was at 5:00. The church is massive with additional seating on each side of the altar. This is their third church building in 60+ years. It was built 10 years ago to accommodate the growing parish community. The liturgy was beautiful, homily inspiring and music well done. We were quite pleased to find that parish. We found a nice restaurant for dinner. Hubby will enjoy my sweet chili chicken over coconut rice and broccoli for lunch tomorrow. The salad bar was enough to satisfy my dinner needs. They also sent me home with a cup of vegetable soup. Hubby enjoyed a chorizo omelette with home fries and toast. We’ll need a walk around the campground. We are expecting a nasty storm later tonight and tomorrow morning. Glad our schedule is clear. Hope your weather is beautiful for your weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “Spirituality is no different from what we’ve been doing for two thousand years just by going to church and receiving the sacraments, being baptized, learning to pray, and reading Scriptures rightly. It’s just ordinary stuff.” - Eugene H. Peterson
