Woodland Burial Ground

We had breakfast en famille before we set off to collect Dad’s ashes. It was important for No 2 brother that we did this before his return home to New Zealand next week.

Once collected the three of us had a drive to Dad’s old school, Dad’s (and my) childhood home, and the house Dad built. Very nostalgic. From here to the Woodland Burial Ground to scatter his ashes. (We also scattered his mother’s ashes which he had kept by him since her death in 1996 - but that is another story). Emotional farewells and we departed for our trip home.

Good journey home and lots to think about.
