Coreopsis grandiflora (Large-flowered tickseed)

Another plant we purchased from Farlow Farm Nursery earlier in the year. And another one that has far exceeded our expectations. It is fabulous!

I found it quite difficult to photogrpah though, hope you approve of the shot I have selected.

I am in trouble today. Got into conversation with a.. ..shall we say....rather large gentleman?   It got a bit heated and I said the following words....

" The problem is not that obesity runs in your family...it is that nobody runs in your family..."

Not good....I was the fastest this time although he was calling me fattist. I shouted over my shoulder.." No you are fattist!"

Anyway, other than that it has been a jolly good day and we got stuff done.  Vixen is recovering very well from her surgery and we have ended the day with ale and a chinese take away which was delicious.

And tomorrow I am going to a Jaguar based barbecue at our local car themed hostelry...Kitty Cat and me on a day out.
