Lunch in town
We went into town for lunch today when Archie was out with Elizabeth. We went to Fisher’s in the City (they also have a branch in Leith) and it was excellent. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday, and the music was quiet and unobtrusive.
For once, I didn’t have my usual irresistible traditional ‘fish and chips’. This time we both had the Grilled Halibut, charred Mediterranean veg, basil, gordal olive, and sweet balsamic dressing. It was superb.
The starters are worth mentioning too - sea bass, artichoke, sundried tomato, brioche croutons, Serrano ham and spicy tomato mayo pour moi.
JR had rhubarb salad - poached rhubarb, goats cheese, cashews, baby gem lettuce, endives, truffle dressing.
I came back and dozed off to Glastonbury. Also dozed off to the football when Glastonbury got just TOO raucous.
