Philadelphus

I have two of these in the garden and they are huge and spectacular at the moment.

The weather forecast for our holiday next weeks looks absolutely awful. Thirteen degrees . I recall one February half term when I took the boys to Glasgow for a two night break (we had a fab time) it was sunny and 13. Next week does not even look sunny. This is the last year we will take a holiday in Scotland for the summer holiday we have decided. It’s fine if you can just decide last minute after looking at the weather and say it looks good let’s go but have to plan ahead unless you camp. I’m not a camper!

Had to pop into town for some things and it was lovely then this horrendous shower arrived luckily we had a shelter.

The Postal Vote situation is a shambles. The Royal Mail is in free fall. There are people up here that haven’t had their voting slip and it’s the start of the Scottish school hols and folks are going away without the chance to vote. Our neighbours took their slips and posted by hand into the council office and had to fill out a form. Their son hasn’t received his and they are away tomorrow on hols. Grrrr an absolute shit show. This country is on a downward spiral.

I suppose my mood is low as it’s a year today since I took my mum for the emergency doc appointment and her health just very quickly deteriorated. My head is on and off messy.
