Downs and ups

A mixed bag of emotions today.
I woke up at 03:15 feeling a little tired, I suppose it was to be expected after racing so late last night……..adrenaline and all that.
Anyway I got on with the daily chores and headed to town for some early shopping including some fresh flowers for the twins auntie and my godmother auntie Joan.
As I am not allowed on the premises I asked a good friend to deliver the presents and cards for me.
I then went to see a dear friend who needed some chauffeuring around to hospital and doctors surgery, a fair swap for a small washing machine load to keep on top of things.
My next challenge was to sort and empty as much of my belongings from the container that my cousins had rudely moved out of my home of the past 5 years.
Daunting it was, there were items in there which belong to Auntie and lots of things missing which belong to me, more proof than my cousins have lost touch with their mum and I and even what belongs to who.
My back was extremely sore after manhandling the items including two bikes and some small but heavy chest of drawers.
With the car full to the brim and leaving my nearly brand new bed plus a few other heavy items in the container, I headed across the way to purchase a sleeping bag to save time and effort morning and night.
It’s a buyer’s paradise in so many places with a massive economic slump to look forward to soon.
Back to collect my washing and hang it around Amadeus to dry.
A lovely supper of mussels and mushrooms in a garlic butter sauce accompanied by sourdough bread and followed by several small but super delicious sweet nectarines.
A quick wash and change before heading out to film night in St Mary’s church hall Appledore.
A short documentary film about the life of Bob Marley, it was an excellent production showing his spiritual journey and his life as a young man who was inspired by helping others through his music and his own personal struggles. Emotional scenes and wonderful music. Fascinatingly I sat next to a lady who was 12 days older than me who had a chance to live in Barbados but ended up in North Devon;)
A stroll along the estuary to absorb the rising tide brought some great views and the chance to meet some likeminded folks, the people in my blip today were joyous to be alive and having asked me to join them in their “selfie” I responded by asking them the same question:)
Blip sorted (their happiness is bursting from the screen).
