Flower Friday

I don’t think I have blipped my iris this year. This is iris unguicularis (Algerian or winter iris). You can’t kill it and it grows into a huge sprawling mass about 70cm high and 1.5 m wide. I have a few around the garden and two are too close to rose bushes and I need to get them out, but they have rhizomes and are like agapanthus to dig up. They don’t mid our hot summers or cold winters (-5° this morning). 

Thanks for the support yesterday, I wasn’t sure if I should share my news but am pleased I did. You are a great bunch. I have been for 2 walks today and my HR hasn’t been so bad, I can’t say I would win a race as I keep on walking slower. I also get on the indoor bike most days and have gone from 3 minutes to 22 minutes and speed from a full rotation (yay that was exciting) to a 7 resistance. I used to do 9 resistance so I’m getting higher each month. We are looking forward to the Tour de France starting this weekend. It’s the only sport we follow closely.
