‘Texture’

Two full working days have now gone by, and I have had no further word about exchanging contracts on the flat. Really fed up with it all. To cap everything, the other estate agent from whom I got a valuation a year ago, and whom I chose not to use because the guy was pushy and spivvy, phoned and emailed me for the umpteenth time this morning asking if I want a reappraisal of my property! I have told them several times since April that I have a buyer, and requested that they remove my details from their database. After this latest intrusion I have now blocked all their phone numbers and email addresses, and written to their head office with a formal complaint, saying that I feel it has reached the point of harassment.

This evening I set off for the tedious drive to the flat. It doesn’t matter what time of the day or night I do this journey, there is ALWAYS a hold-up on the M25. Tonight was no different, and traffic came to a complete standstill at the A1 slip road thanks to a broken down car while it was being removed. I finally arrived in Chesham at 10.15pm feeling tired and irritable after a two-hour drive. The flat is hot and stuffy so I’m now sitting next to an open window a hour later trying to cool the place down to a temperature I can actually sleep in.

Thank you to Ingeborg for hosting the Abstract Thursday challenge, with this week’s optional theme of ‘Texture’.
