The Lozarithm Lens

Templars Firs (Thursday 27th June 2024)

My arrival onto the scene was highly unwelcome to this heron, who squawked off even as I was raising my camera, and didn't return.

I walked up to the first footbridge and back hoping to see it again, or a swan family, but when I didn't I decided to drive up to the next crossing point and parked in Chaddington Lane on the bridge over the canal.

A pair of swans had been sunbathing on the north side and crossed under the bridge when they saw me. A dogwalker told me there was another pair with some cygnets higher up on the way to Studley Grange (see Extra). I think they may be the first I have seen this year.
