The Lozarithm Lens

Curzon Street (Friday 21st June 2024)

In an abrupt change of style from Thursday's 'still life' I had a walk along my street, which is on the A4, looking particularly at the wildflowers growing at the side of the pavement and on the walls. There were brambles, herb robert, ivy-leafed toadflax, red valerian, hawkweed, coltsfoot and others, but for Miranda's Wild Flower Week and BikerBear's Flower Friday I have chosen this wild mallow (malva), with thanks to both.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Beatles - You Can't Do That (recorded 25 February 1964, Abbey Rd)
There are various reasons for choosing this, not least that this week I have been exploring the commentary and featurettes on a blu-ray of the film A Hard Day's Night. This song, led by John Lennon, was filmed for inclusion in the film but was cut from the final edit. It is included among the blu-ray extras, and was on the UK version of the album A Hard Day's Night. It was also the B-side of Can't Buy Me Love.
