Rock garden
One of my clients has a rocky, slate bank in front of their house. To make it more attractive I started adding some sedums, hens and chicks and other low growing plants in crevices where there was enough soil for them to grow. This is the second year, and it is filling in nicely.
I spent more times running between jobs today than I did actual working.
Meet A so he can get the tools he needed off the truck. Meet the weeding crew at another job so I can get them started. Go pick up mulch. Get the mulch spread so we can move to another job. I take the weeding crew to the next job and leave them there. I pick up Jo and take him with me to pick up and deliver some sod so A and his crew can go back to finish their first job of the day. Take Jo back to where A is working, stopping at where the weeding crew has finished their job, to let them know where to go next. Get the truck loaded with debris, meet the weeding crew at the next job to give them instructions. Take one of them with me to help unload the truck. Stop at home to pick up a few plants for the property where the weeding crew is and pick up the tools that were left at the first property so I would have the back of the truck empty. By the time I got back the crew had finished weeding, so we just had a few things to plant. My last stop was to pick up the wheelbarrow that A used on the first job of the day.
The day started out foggy but soon cleared and afternoon temperatures were in the mid-20's. Rain in the forecast for tomorrow, so we shall find out in the morning if we are working.
