Pres de La Loire

Up at 4:30 am and thankfully all of us awake at the same time which meant we could leave. We finally stopped by Sainsbury’s to buy a last Guardian before France but though Google said the store was open at 6:00 am I looked on the door and it said 9 am. I felt a little foolish and the joke was certainly on me when LV pointed out that the store times were actually a Specsavers poster! Who needs glasses to read opening times!

Anyway we were soon heading onto the Chunnel train and 30 mins later heading down the autoroute to Montsoreau about 5 miles from Saumur. Lovely campsite which we have decided will suit us for the next 6 nights and after a very sweaty set up of the van and LV’s tent - see extra, thanks Mike, we had a lovely meal at the campsite restaurant - main photo. Now some sleep is very much on the menu.
