Mr & Mrs HM

I reported some weeks ago that we had House Martins moving in, and building a nest in the eaves of our bungalow.

Here's the proof and I am very pleased to say the hard work is complete, Mrs HM has been in residence for a few days and the husband is dutifully doing his hunter gatherer role with great diligence.

This very low resolution and heavily cropped image is one of only a few shots I have been able to get, as he leaves on another shopping trip. 

Boy, they work so hard.

And all this after having flown eight thousand miles from the other side of the world to get here.

How on earth do they do it?

I am monitoring progress, unsure if she has laid yet, but rest assured I will update as and when I am able.
