Just to Make this dock my home

Today after a morning on the beach we were adventurous 

We went to the town. On a bus 

Wave the bus. If they like you they will stop 


Luckily for us the first bus did stop.  It was maybe a 15 seater with maybe 8 standing. We got a seat but by the time we reached the centre and everyone was shouting to us to get off it was full and I had to squeeze past some very swarthy Turkish men 

We walked along the prom taking advantage of the benches every fifty feet.  It was still sweltering despite being after five

We eventually reached the marina were people's boats were as opposed to tourist ships with Capt Jack on the prow or that big scary octopus face one 

I was knackered so we stopped for beer and calamari.  And then moved on to the souk

Si and I aren't shoppers. And to be fair. Although the souk was pretty and has over 450 shops they are all either football shirts, shoes, evil eye tourist stuff, local delicacies, leather or knock off 'designers' which means you have at least 80 opportunities to say no to that designer pair of trainers you never wanted.

We walked right round and out where we thought we had come in but we were back at.tht tourist boats 

We dawdled back to the restaurant we had calamari in.... We really shouldn't have.  Oh they were delighted to see us again 

Oh they gave us free starters. 

And then served three tables who came in after us..

After we had been sitting for over forty minutes I chased again. 

Two minutes they said

Someone came and took our plates away. 

Ten more minutes and the food came 

For a steak and a chicken. It took a hell of a lot of time 

We asked fo the bill and said that no we hadn't enjoyed It.  The wait was far too long 

After another wait for the bill. We were presented with eight slices of watermelon which was 'a gift'. 

We sent that back. 

Finally got the bill 

We didn't leave a tip
