Piel  Island,

This 50 acre island is one of three in Morecambe Bay at the end of the Furness Peninsula. My Blip shows the ferry loading up to take visitors over to the island. There are walks over there and a pub.
The ferry is the size of a rowing boat. It takes 11 passengers and the ferryman. With my balance problems I was happy to decline the trip. 
The island has its own King.

A strange heatwave out there with the at 19C and a cool onshore breeze. Back here in Arnside it has reached 24C.
