Noises from the SW Front

Nao Trinidad

The Trinidad was the flagship of Magellan's fleet in 1519 when he set out to circumnavigate the world.  This replica was anchored in Wilmington for a few days so we stopped down for a wee look.  Sadly, we went late in the afternoon so we were looking west, into the late afternoon sun, which made life complicated for my poor iphone. I added a couple of extras so you can get some idea of what the entire ship looks like.  The big thing for me is the size, or lack thereof.  A little over 28 metres long.  I don't think I would be circumnavigating much more than my bathtub in a boat that size.
