A Sunny Day for an Umbrella

This bright umbrella was enjoying the sun today (or maybe it was hot like the rest of us, but it didn't tell me.) On sunny days umbrellas provide shade. Rainy days, of course, they keep us a little dryer.

There was a time, early on when I moved to Asia, that I laughed at the people under the umbrellas on sunny days. Then one day, one hot hot day, a friend let me stand under an umbrella with her. It was cooler! Significantly cooler. Since then, I've been sold. Umbrellas are good for the rainy days along with the sunny days. But I'm not sure I could cary one around in America. That would just be strange.
