We didn’t get the full sun until late in the afternoon but we at least had an evening glow.  It never got as hot as promised but the week looks to warm up.  
I took this standing in my bedroom packing my cases for a chequerboard of nights away and V to take as he’s leaving before me. The South Downs glowed gold, the cows drifted slowly across the field in a grazing formation and a blackbird perched on the fence and sang and sang.  Can you see him? 

After starting with the dentist, I worked at home all day and walked at lunchtime before coming back to do a raft of afternoon zooms. 

Packed all evening and feel relatively prepared.  Although loads of things I was hoping to take are missing so i spent a lot of time searching for whatever sensible place I had thought to hide them.
