Metropolis Mermaid ?

Would being inside a fence of fish make an aquarium? In that case this could be a 'Metropolis' Mermaid! I wonder what Fritz Lang would have made of it ;)
The fencing has been erected so people won't stray inside an area where a building has been demolished post-earthquakes, and the 'mermaid' has been installed/painted on the wall, with someone decorating the fence with fish!

Horomaka and I another whole day out with our cameras today, but didn't travel very far, not like our day roaming around the high hills of Banks Peninsula. This time we travelled as far as Lyttelton to Charteris Bay, spending most of our time in Lyttelton town proper (including the pre-requisite coffees and food), but also at Rapaki and Allandale. We found a delightful wharf at Rapaki, near the marae, and a spoonbill and kingfisher at Allandale. It was a super day; I thoroughly enjoyed it - thanks so much Horomaka - much appreciated.

Thank you everyone so much for all the wonderful comments, the stars and the hearts, for yesterday's Moncks Bay Sunrise. Thanks to you it snuck into the Spotlight for a while. I'm not sure for how long though, as it had disappeared again by the time I got home - rather late!
