Still in Provence

Last night’s  meal was wonderful once they sorted out what would happen in the highly unlikely event of rain!
We had booked to sit outside under the trees and eat a fairly simple meal. But it rained so we had to go inside which threw them a bit because the inside tables were for an eleven course tasting menu at twice the price!
Eventually it poured, everyone had to go inside and we were able to have the more simple menu!
Delicious except for a dairy free ( I’d forgotten the restaurant was dairy free as well as gluten free) panna cotta, which should be cooked cream. They made it with almond milk and agar gel which I didn’t think worked at all.
Anyway I loved the meal, the place and the ambiance .
We had an adventure this morning on a cycle ride where we found ourselves on a totally unsuitable rocky track , very steep and divided by gullies. We pressed on , walking, hoping the track would improve but it didn’t. We turned around, and had to walk the bikes back too as it was impossible to ride.  LooseCanon fell a couple of times and I was lucky not to. Lots of grazes this evening. Sometimes you have to have the common sense to know when to give up.
Down to Lourmarin ( main photo) this evening for a glass of rosé on our last evening here.
Moving on tomorrow.
