A Hummer Of A Bird
This is 'Anna's Hummingbird'. Broad-billed hummingbird. It's an unusual hummer because it doesn't really migrate.
Other species fly thousands of miles to South America for the winter. They are all over North America, so imagine how far those tiny birds fly!
Hummingbirds like sweet things. Feeders are usually filled with sugar water.

We tied the record today of consecutive days with temperatures in the triple digits - 39! Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we're going to BREAK the record. The forecast for tomorrow is 98F. Storms will keep us cool. I'm bummed. ;-))
