Close up of a Calendula bud and open flower.
The Feast Day of Saint Etheldreda 679.
The photo shows a Calendula I grew from seed. The blip was initially just a close up of the bud but when I was in the garden I noticed the warm sun had opened the bud. So I included it in this collage.
It had rained over night, so all the new garden plants looked quenched.
The temperature was 14c but it is gradually getting warmer.
I bought some Lemon Balm seeds to grow and planted them this morning. They can take two weeks to germinate, but make a pleasant herbal tea.
I am going for a walk before Songs of Praise.
It is lovely to be in second place on the Popular page. That is a rare feat for me so many kind thanks to those who put me there.
Good luck this evening Scotland. Rooting for you.
Enjoy your Sunday and thank you for dropping by today blip friends.
