Every day a new adventure.

As mentioned yesterday, I never know what blip opportunities will come my way and today was no exception. There was a wedding happening in Penrith today, but not just any wedding, today the son of a successful local business man was getting married.

Once we heard how big it was going to be, Mum and I abandoned the shop, leaving a friend in charge and went to try and get some decent blips. The wedding had drawn the biggest crowd I'd ever seen in Penrith, the streets were lined with spectators waiting for the carriages to arrive. Rumour on the street was that not only were a few celebrity guests at the wedding, there were a number of body guards (and yes, you looked round the crowd and there was a number of stocky guys in beige suits dotted through the crowd) and Girls Aloud are rumoured to have been booked to play at the reception, not to mention the air display that passed in the afternoon.

There were four carriages with four horses pulling each. I'd managed to edge my way through the crowds to get a good shot of the horses, which were all dressed up to the nines. Unfortunately this shot misses off the horse's head, which had a cute little hat complete with built in ear sections.

After the excitement of the morning was over it was back to the shop for a hard day's work. It had been lovely and warm all day and I'd really built my hopes up for having a nice barbecue in the evening so what happened as we left the shop, the heavens opened and it poured down. Never one to give in, we pitched the Gazebo over the garden table and carried on regardless and had a lovely evening.

I've been experimenting with my mum's fancy camera. I think I'm in love.
